CHILDREN from a Droitwich school are the latest among the future generation to learn about the complex needs of domesticated rabbits as part of Blue Cross’ plans to educate pet owners. Four, five and six-year-olds at the Ombersley Endowed First School were treated to an in-depth presentation by Blue Cross education officer, Jason Cortis on how best to look after pet bunnies. The SPCA seizes 162 rabbits from the Abbotsford property

The BC SPCA seized 162 rabbits from an Abbotsford home on May 26, but the man behind the operation says the animals were not in any danger and he is fighting to get them back. SPCA spokesperson Eileen Drever said the agency received a call from someone concerned about animals being “possibly in distress” at a home in a residential neighborhood in central Abbotsford.
