Donald Trump attended his daughter-in-law Lara’s fashion show at Mar-a-Lago where the former president got up on stage to promote his 2024 run for the White House during a fundraiser for a dog rescue.

After praising his son Eric Trump’s wife Lara for her efforts to help with the fundraiser fashion show, the former president got up on stage to make a few remarks before the friendly crowd.

‘Remember this – we have a country that’s in trouble,’ Trump said as he got up on the catwalk and took the microphone for a few quick words.

‘We will Make America Great Again,’ he added to cheers from the crowd. ‘We will make it better than ever before.’

Lara strutted down the catwalk in a blue corset dress for a Mar-a-Lago fundraiser as Donald Trump’s Jr.’s long-term partner Kimberley Guilfoyle proudly filmed her, just hours after the pair spoke at CPAC.

Lara donned a flowing blue dress from Parisian designer Anne Fontaine.

Following the fashion show, a woman in a zebra-print mini-dress greeted former President Trump onto the stage and handed him the microphone. In the background, an orchestral instrumental version of the Village People’s hit YMCA was playing over the speakers.

‘I assume Lara’s around somewhere,’ Trump said as he scanned the crowd for his daughter-in-law, who was standing behind him on the stage.

‘She’s so incredible, so great,’ he continued. ‘She wanted to make this very special this year. She worked with the group behind me and the group in front of me.’

Trump wore a navy blue suit and red tie.

The ex-Commander in Chief’s daughter-in-law looked to be having the time of her life during the show. She flicked her hair, played up to the cameras and twirled while showing off her legs in nude high heels.

‘Somebody (@bigdogranchrescue) let me pretend to be a model again today,’ she wrote on social media, thanking the charity for letting her participate.

Guilfoyle – the fiancé of the ex-president’s eldest son Don Jr., did not walk down the runway but posted videos of Trump and pictures with Lara.

The two-day event – titled ‘Wine, WoMEN and Shoes’ – was held at the president’s Florida Mar-a-Lago resort and run by Big Dog Ranch Rescue.

The former made a surprise cameo at the even in 2021.

He called Lara, who helped put together the event, ‘incredible’ before teasing at an eventual Senate run for his daughter-in-law who never materialized.

‘The quality of service, the beauty of the venue and the excellent rate provided us as a non-profit as well as the generosity of supporters who sell out our event there every year allows us to rescue and home thousands of dogs.’

‘Our investment there and at the other venues mentioned in the article has netted more than $12 million over an eight-year period which allows us to continue our mission,’ Simmons said in a statement defending her association with the Trump family.

Lara Trump served as an advisor to his father-in-law’s 2020 presidential campaign and spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Maryland this weekend.

‘Under Joe Biden, America is crumbling,’ she said during her speech and touted Trump’s efforts to lower unemployment vs. that of Biden’s.

Former President Trump once again dominated the straw poll at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, with 62 percent of attendees surveyed saying they want him as the 2024 GOP nominee.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who skipped the annual confab that returned this year to suburban DC, again came in second with 20 percent support.

Trump improved on his performance from last February’s CPAC, where he received 55 percent support, while DeSantis’ support remained stable. He got 21 percent last year when the conference was held in his home state of Florida.

Former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, who continues to falsely claim she won her election, was voted the top pick to be Trump’s vice president.
